Career
Prarthana began her career as a TV reporter. A chance encounter with actress Renuka Shahane led to her assisting on the Marathi film “Rita” (2009) and subsequently, to acting. She landed a role in the popular Hindi television show “Pavitra Rishta,” playing Vaishali. This role brought her widespread recognition. She’s also appeared in other TV shows including “Love Lagan Locha” (2017) and “Mai Lek”.
Her film debut was in the Bollywood movie “Love U… Mr. Kalakaar!” (2011). She’s since appeared in supporting roles in successful films like “Bodyguard” (2011) and “Wajah Tum Ho” (2016). Her Marathi film debut was with “Jai Maharashtra Dhaba Bhatinda,” which, although not a box office hit, opened doors to roles in commercially successful films such as “Mitwaa” (2015), “Vakratunda Mahakaaya” (2015), “Mr. and Mrs. Sadachari” (2015), “Fugay” (2017), and “Ti and Ti.”
